The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has established the workgroup of representatives of the Government, parliamentary factions and groups and relevant Committees to adapt the draft state budget for 2016 and the amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said this in his closing speech at the extraordinary plenary meeting of the Ukrainian Parliament on Thursday.
He said that the workgroup will include specialists of the parliamentary factions and groups, Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget Affairs and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy, as well as the Cabinet of Ministers and personally the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The first meeting of the workgroup to agree the Regulations for further work will take place today.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said that not much time was left to find a joint decision on the state budget for 2016. He reminded that the Ukrainian Parliament obtained respective draft laws only on December 11.
Groysman also called on the people's deputies to work constructively and to find the dialogue as to the existing disputable issues. "I call on everybody to be responsible. We have to find out what to do to stabilize the situation instead of looking for the guilty. I call on everybody to be responsible in finding a compromise," he said.
